A true oceanfront room can sit well north or south of the Boardwalk. A central hotel can be convenient for attractions but lack the pools, parking, or condo space of a resort farther out. Check the exact entrance, parking arrangement, pool season, resort fees, immediate block, and walking route to the beach before booking.
